Fields of Terror FAQ's

What is zombie paintball?

Zombie paintball is a 20 minute, half mile-long hay ride adventure that will take place in the dark and lonely fields right outside of Mountain Home city limits. You and 27 other Zombie Hunters will board one of our 3 Zombie Assault Vehicles (ZAV). Each ZAV will be guided by one of our Zombie Wrecking Crew Commanders who will assign you a seat and a High-Pressure turret mounted 50 caliber zombie killing paintball gun. Each gun will be pre-loaded with our special glow in the dark Zombie killing paintballs. Special black lights are mounted on each trailer so you can watch your shots fly through the air like tracer bullets and destroy the zombies or targets. We also have speakers that will play loud music to attract the zombies.

When will zombie hunting season begin?

Zombie hunting season begins on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights (6pm to 10pm or later) between September 28th and November 4th. Don’t forget we will also be open on Halloween night! Book now by clicking here (buy tickets now). We strongly recommend getting VIP tickets online. The VIP ticket line will move twice as fast as the general admission line and you will avoid the longer waits plus you will get extra paint for FREE included with your ticket!

When and where can I purchase zombie hunting tickets?

There will be a few different ways to purchase tickets but, the easiest and most efficient way is to buy your ticket online (buy tickets now). The benefit of buying your ticket ahead of time is it will be faster for you to check in when you get to the event. You will be given further instructions from there. We will be selling tickets before the event that you can buy at the Baxter County Fair. You can also contact us through Facebook or our website to purchase the tickets. The last option is to buy your ticket at our ticket booth when zombie hunting season starts. If we are already sold out of tickets for the night you choose to come you may have to wait until the next day or next weekend to go on the ride. We encourage you to buy VIP tickets in advance.

What is the difference between a VIP ticket and a General Admission ticket?

A VIP ticket will cost $28 for adults and $18 for kids (12 and under). The VIP ticket line will move twice as fast as the general admission line. Each VIP ticket holder will also get 50 extra zombie killing paintballs for FREE!! We highly encourage you to purchase a VIP ticket to greatly reduce the time you would have to wait if you were to buy a general admission ticket. A General Admission ticket will cost $20 for adults and $15 for kids (12 and under). The VIP zombie assault vehicles can fit twice as many riders as the General Admission zombie assault vehicle!
*Please note each ticket holder will be required to check in at the ticket booth BEFORE getting in line to check in and verify age

What nights are best to attend?

We expect Thursdays to be a smaller crowd than on a Friday or Saturday night. The best way to avoid long lines is to buy your VIP tickets ahead of time.

How long is the wait?

Since this is our opening year, we anticipate having a large turn out and we expect to have very long waits at certain times. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND BUYING VIP PASSES (CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE). We have 3 Zombie Assault Vehicles that can fit 28 hunters per ZAV. Each Truck will go through the infected zone twice an hour. We can have up to 112 VIP riders per hour and up to 56 general admission riders per hour. There are a limited number of tickets per night.

What do I need to bring to hunt?

You do not have to bring anything but your proof of ticket if you bought tickets prior to the event. ALL guests must check in at ticket booth BEFORE getting in line for the ride. You will be provided with a mounted paintball gun, 100 Zombie Killing paintballs and all the air you need. An extra 100 rounds of paintballs can be purchased for $5. If you purchase a VIP ticket you will get 50 extra paintballs for FREE!

Can I buy more paintballs?

YES!!!! THERE IS NO LIMIT ON THE PAINTBALLS YOU CAN BUY OR SHOOT DURING THE RIDE. You can buy them before the ride at the ticket booth and you can use cash or credit here. You can also buy extra paint during the ride but, you can only use cash with this option. People generally can shoot between 300-400 rounds each ride. These guns fire as fast as you can pull the trigger. There are NO REFUNDS for unused paint, so shoot everything you have!

What is the age limit?

We do not have a specific age limit but we do not recommend the ride for children under the age of 5. We highly recommend that younger guests come to the earlier times because it will be dusk and there will be more light. This is a family friendly ride and is not meant to be a traditional “scary” Halloween event. It is more of an exciting adventure for everyone but, there are things that you as a parent or guardian should consider for the ride:
•The event will be held outside in the dark, which may be scary for younger riders and we will only have special black lights and the moon for light. It will be dark but completely safe.
•There will be loud music used to attract the zombies.
•The zombies will have life like masks on, which may scare younger guests but, no Zombies will ever even get close enough to touch you at all.
•The child must be able to be seated and be able to reach the gun from a seated position. You may have your child sit in your lap if you would like.

What happens in bad weather?

If the rain is not very heavy we will remain open. Please check our Facebook page for any changes. We have canopies that will cover the Vehicles. If event is cancelled we will reschedule you for another day. No refunds will be issued

Are there refunds?

No refunds will be given. If there is inclement weather, you will be issued a raincheck.

Can I be asked to leave?

Yes. Once again this is a family friendly event and it is meant to be fun for all ages. We do not allow obscene/foul language, vulgar/aggressive behavior, nudity, alcohol or drugs. If you break these rules you will be asked to leave.

We reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone at any time. During the ride, you will be subject to intense audio, lighting effects, low visibility, and possible fog.
